You don’t need a golden ticket to enter this magical Willy Wonka-inspired wonderland – just a sense of adventure (and perhaps a sweet tooth).

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s much-loved children’s book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Kew Gardens is bringing the tale to life with some help from some Oompa-Loompas, Willy Wonka himself and the clever folks at the Roald Dahl Museum.

Fancy taking a trip in a great glass elevator? Or making your own everlasting gobstopper? Maybe you want to create your own Willy Wonka-inspired chocolate bar with a wacky label?

Pop along to Kew Gardens this weekend and channel your inner Charlie Bucket – just watch out for those mischievous squirrels.
