It was the UN speech no one was really expecting, least of all from a new UN ambassador, who also happened to be a Harry Potter actress. But Emma Watson's UN HeForShe speech proved what we've known all along, Hermione knows how to tell it like it is. So now she's announced a live web chat to coincide with International Women's Day on Saturday 8th March we're expecting big things.

Ok, so she admitted she was physically shaking before, during and after the UN speech which received a standing ovation from the UN summit, but like that's going to stop anyone in their tracks.

'I hope you’ll join me on Sunday March 8 at 1pm NYC/5pm London-time for a conversation about HeForShe and gender equality, live on Facebook,' she wrote on her page. 'Thank you so much for all of your support and participation so far. It's been absolutely amazing, and an amazing adventure, journey and experience for me. So thank you, thank you. You guys are awesome.'

Still need convincing to join in? Take one look at Davos where the UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador unveiled the HeForShe IMPACT 10X10X10 pilot initiative at the World Economic Forum in Davos. No biggie, just a few world leaders, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

'The groundswell of response we have received in support for HeForShe tells us we are tapping into what the world wants: to be a part of change,' she told the summit.

'Now we have to channel that energy into purposeful action. The pilot initiative provides that framework. Next we need all country leadership, as well as that of hundreds of universities and corporations to follow HeForShe’s IMPACT 10x10x10 so as to bring an end to the persisting inequalities faced by women and girls globally.'

I've had my breath taken away when a fan told me since watching my speech she has stopped herself being beaten up by her father, she continued. "I've been stunned by the amount of men in my life that have contacted me since my speech to tell me to keep going, and that they want to make sure that their daughters will still be alive to see a world where women have power and equality, economically and politically."

The HeForShe IMPACT 10x10x10 aims to work with companies and universities to promote women in various communities and improve gender equality.

Two global summits down, now for taking over the world...
