I hope you like the balance of flavours in this familiar, yet unfamiliar chocolate dessert. I love this as a treat for special occasions only, as it does have a high natural sugar content in the dates and bananas. Better for you than usual sugar, but sugary nonetheless (but super yummy)!

Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and broken into pieces
- 2 ripe avocados, peeled and de-stoned
- 125 g Medjool dates, pitted
- 175 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. very finely grated fresh ginger
Directions
Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blitz together to give a thick and smooth mousse.
Divide the mixture evenly into six small ramekins or bowls to serve for a filling and luxurious mini treat or dessert.
They can be eaten straight away or, for a slightly firmer set, refrigerate for about 1 hour. They are best eaten within 24 hours of making as the bananas start to turn after that time.
