It's not often that we long to be 15 again.

But today, as some of the biggest names in the arts world (from actresses Keeley Hawes and Louise Brealey, to Southbank Centre director Jude Kelly and interior designer Kelly Hoppen) gathered at the Tate Modern to mentor a group of schoolgirls, we found ourselves wishing we were teenagers.

The Inspiring Women Arts event at the Tate Modern

The star-studded mentoring session was powered by Miriam Gonzalez Durantez and her tremendous Inspiring Women campaign, a free service that encourages women, from graduates to CEOs, to volunteer in schools all over the country.

And on the guest list? 190 inspiring literary agents, writers, actresses, authors and directors (frankly, it would be easier to list who wasn't there), who answered questions from 850 super smart schoolgirls.

This event is just one small part of Gonzalez’s Inspiring Women campaign. And you don’t need to be a superstar, actress or author to make a difference, you just need to be willing to pledge one hour of your time to give young women an insight into your career.

So next time you think about watching one hour of TV, or spending an hour in the gym, think about what those 60 minutes could mean to a young girl trying to figure out what to with her life.

Chances are, if you give it a go, you’ll learn something too.
