Somerset House does beards

Are you a pogonophile? Yes, we didn’t know what it meant either, but it turns out it’s a specially termed phrase for people who love beards. Time to reconsider your answer? Yes, we thought so…

Because beards have slowly been taking over society. Long gone is the month of Movember, now we’re seeing beards every single day. What (as always) began as a hipster movement has gone almost as mainstream as the mun (man bun FYI).

And now come spring, over 80 images captured by photographer Mr Elbank will take over the walls of London’s iconic Somerset House.

What to expect? Well, beards obviously, but these ones will come from all corners of the world in the form of actor John Hurt, models Ricki Hall and Billy Huxley, and campaigner Jimmy Niggles.

We couldn’t be more excited.
